​​In the late 1970s the pool, then little more than marshland, was drained, dredged and extended with the specific intent of providing good, well stocked but challenging, trout fishing. The pool is a little under two acres in area and up to some fourteen feet in depth. Easily found just off the A450 Birmingham to Worcester Road, just before the junction with the A448 at Mustow Green it is only some fifteen miles from the centre of Birmingham.

Members can fish on any one or two days in a week, but we are open 365 days a year. We stock regularly to maintain a consistent head of fish, primarily with rainbow trout ranging in size from 1.5lb to 3.0lb with the odd larger fish and a few blue trout to add interest. Fishing is by imitation fly, nymph or other such like lure, with a maximum overall size including dressing of 1.5 inches [3.81 cm], no other baits or styles are permitted.
